وَبِهِ حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ قَالَ: نَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:
أَعَاذَكَ اللهُ مِنْ أُمَرَاءَ يَكُونُونَ بَعْدِي، قَالَ: وَمَا هُمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ؟ قَالَ: " مَنْ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ فَصَدَّقَهُمْ بِكَذِبِهِمْ وَأَعَانَهُمْ عَلَى جَوْرِهِمْ فَلَيْسَ مِنِّي، وَلَا يَرِدُ عَلَيَّ حَوْضِي، اعْلَمْ يَا عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ، أَنَّ الصِّيَامَ جُنَّةٌ، وَالصَّلَاةَ بُرْهَانٌ، يَا عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ سَمُرَةَ، إِنَّ اللهَ تَعَالَى أَبَى عَلَيَّ أَنْ يَدْخُلَ الْجَنَّةَ لَحْمٌ نَبَتَ مِنْ سُحْتٍ، النَّارُ أَوْلَى بِهِ
Translation

✧ May Allah protect you from rulers who will come after me." He said, "And who are they, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "Whoever enters upon them and confirms their lies and helps them in their oppression is not of me, and he will not come to my Cistern. Know, O ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, that fasting is a shield and prayer is a proof. O ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. Samura, Allah Almighty has refused to admit to Paradise any flesh nourished by unlawful gain; the Fire is more fitting for it."
