✧ A man came to Ibn ʿUmar and said: How did you hear the Messenger of Allah ﷺ speak about intimate conversation? Ibn ʿUmar said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: On the Day of Resurrection, Allah will bring a servant near to Him and place over him His protection and concealment from people, and will make him acknowledge his sins. He will say: Do you acknowledge such-and-such sin? He will say: Yes, my Lord. And He will say: Do you acknowledge such-and-such sin? He will say: Yes, my Lord. When He has made him acknowledge his sins and he sees that he is ruined, He will say: I concealed them for you in the world, and I forgive them for you today. Then he will be given the book of his good deeds. As for the hypocrite and the disbeliever, it will be called out before the witnesses: These are the ones who lied against their Lord.
