✧ The Prophet ﷺ heard something, so he delivered a sermon and said to the Anṣār: "Were you not lowly and God exalted you through me? Were you not astray and God guided you through me? Were you not fearful and God gave you security through me? Will you not respond to me?" They said: "What thing shall we answer you?" He said: "You say: Did your people not expel you and we sheltered you? Did your people not call you a liar and we believed you?" He enumerated things for them. He said: "They fell on their knees," and said: "Our wealth and our lives are yours." Then it was revealed: "Say: I ask of you no reward for it, save love of kinship."
