✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ took the bottom of the valley, and the people took the mountain pass. Seven masked men came, and when the Messenger of God ﷺ saw them—Ḥudhayfa was the guide and ʿAmmār the vanguard—he said: “Block what is before you two.” They did nothing. The Messenger of God looked at them and said: “O Ḥudhayfa, do you know who the people are?” I said: “I do not recognize any of them except the owner of the red camel, for I know that he is so-and-so.”
