✧ We were with the Prophet ﷺ when a beggar stood before us. The people remained silent. Then he returned and asked, and some of the people gave him a ring or something. The people followed suit and gave him. The Messenger of God ﷺ said: 'Whoever initiates a good practice that is followed, he will have its reward and the like of the rewards of those who follow it, without diminishing their rewards in anything. Whoever initiates an evil practice that is followed, he will bear its burden and the like of the burdens of those who follow it, without diminishing their burdens in anything.'
