حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْفِرْيَابِيُّ، قَالَ: نَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى اللُّؤْلُؤِيُّ، قَالَ: نَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ الْعُرَنِيُّ، قَالَ: نَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ:

مَرَّ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِقَوْمٍ فِيهِمْ رَجُلٌ مُتَخَلِّقٌ، فَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْهِمْ، وَأَعْرَضَ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ، فَقَالَ لَهُ الرَّجُلُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ سَلَّمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَأَعْرَضْتَ عَنِّي ؟ فَقَالَ: إِنَّ بَيْنَ عَيْنَيْكَ حُمْرَةً

✧ The Prophet ﷺ passed by a group of people among whom was a man wearing khalūq perfume. He greeted them and turned away from the man. The man said to him: “O Messenger of God, you greeted them but turned away from me?” He replied: “Indeed, between your eyes is redness.”
