وَبِهِ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ الضَّالُّ قَالَ: نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ أُخْتِهِ عَنْ أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَ قَالَتْ:
نَهَانَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ لُبْسِ الذَّهَبِ، وَتَفْضِيضِ الْأَقْدَاحِ، فَكَلَّمَهُ النِّسَاءُ فِي لُبْسِ الذَّهَبِ، فَأَبَى عَلَيْنَا، وَرَخَّصَ لَنَا فِي تَفْضِيضِ الْأَقْدَاحِ
Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade us from wearing gold and from silver-plating drinking vessels. The women spoke to him about wearing gold, but he refused that for us, and he granted us a concession for silver-plating drinking vessels.
