✧ Bakr b. Sahl al-Dimyati

حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرٌ قَالَ: نَا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ: أَنَا عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ بْنُ عُمَرَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ

كَانَ لَا يَلْتَفِتُ إِذَا مَشَى، وَكَانَ رُبَّمَا تَعَلَّقَ رِدَاؤُهُ بِالشَّجَرَةِ أَوِ الشَّيْءِ فَلَا يَلْتَفِتُ حَتَّى يَرْفَعُوهُ؛ لِأَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا يَمْزَحُونَ وَيَضْحَكُونَ، وَكَانُوا قَدْ أَمِنُوا الْتِفَاتَهُ ﷺ

Translation

✧ He would not turn around when he walked. Sometimes his cloak would catch on a tree or something, and he would not turn around until they removed it, because they would jest and laugh; they felt safe from his turning around ﷺ.
