حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ رِشْدِينَ قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ الْغَفَّارِ بْنُ دَاوُدَ أَبُو صَالِحٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ قَالَ: نَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ جَامِعِ بْنِ أَبِي رَاشِدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ. عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ:

دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَكَّةَ، وَحَوْلَ الْبَيْتِ ثَلَاثُمِائَةٍ وَسِتُّونَ صَنَمًا، فَجَعَلَ يَطْعَنُهَا بِعُودٍ مَعَهُ، وَيَقُولُ: جَاءَ الْحَقُّ وَزَهَقَ الْبَاطِلُ إِنَّ الْبَاطِلَ كَانَ زَهُوقًا، جَاءَ الْحَقُّ وَمَا يُبْدِئُ الْبَاطِلُ وَمَا يُعِيدُ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered Makkah while around the House there were three hundred and sixty idols. He began striking them with a stick he had, saying: "Truth has come and falsehood has vanished; indeed falsehood is bound to vanish. Truth has come, and falsehood cannot originate anything nor repeat it."
