حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى قَالَ: نَا مُوسَى بْنُ دَاوُدَ، قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْمُؤَمَّلِ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ: قَالَ لِيَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ:
يَا عَائِشَةُ، إِنَّ أَسْرَعَ النَّاسِ هَلَاكًا قَوْمُكِ قُلْتُ: أَمِنْ تَيْمٍ، جَعَلَنِي اللهُ فِدَاكَ ؟ فَقَالَ: " لَا وَلَكِنَّ هَذَا الْحَيَّ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ تَسْتَخْلِبُهُمُ الْمَنَايَا، وَتَنْفِسُ النَّاسُ عَلَيْهِمْ " قُلْتُ: فَمَا بَقَاءُ النَّاسِ بَعْدَهُمْ ؟ قَالَ: " هُمْ صُلْبُ النَّاسِ، فَإِذَا هَلَكُوا هَلَكَ النَّاسُ

✧ O Aisha, the quickest of people to perish will be your people. I said: 'From Taym, may Allah make me your ransom?' He said: 'No, but this quarter of Quraysh; death will ravage them, and people will envy them.' I said: 'What will be the survival of people after them?' He said: 'They are the backbone of people; when they perish, people will perish.'
