حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى قَالَ: نَا خَلَّادُ بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ: نَا هِشَامُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

مَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلَا يُؤْذِ جَارَهُ، وَمَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلْيَقُلْ خَيْرًا أَوْ لِيَصْمُتْ، وَمَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلْيُكْرِمْ ضَيْفَهُ ". قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَمَا كَرَامَتُهُ ؟ قَالَ: " جَائِزَتُهُ الضِّيَافَةُ ثَلَاثَ لَيَالٍ، فَمَا كَانَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ فَهُوَ صَدَقَةٌ

Translation

✧ Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should not harm his neighbour. Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should speak good or remain silent. Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should honour his guest.' They said: 'O Messenger of Allah, what is his honour?' He said: 'His gift of hospitality is three nights; whatever is after that is charity.'
