حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ قَالَ: نَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ قَالَ: نَا أَبِي قَالَ: نَا قُرَّةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ:
مَنْ صَعِدَ الثَّنِيَّةَ ثَنِيَّةَ الْمُرَارِ فَإِنَّهُ يُحَطُّ عَنْهُ مَا حُطَّ عَنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ. قَالَ جَابِرٌ: فَكَانَ أَوَّلَ مَنْ صَعِدَهَا خَيْلُنَا بَنِي الْخَزْرَجِ، ثُمَّ تَتَامَّ النَّاسُ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: " كُلُّكُمْ مَغْفُورٌ لَهُ إِلَّا صَاحِبَ الْجَمَلِ الْأَحْمَرِ "، فَقُلْنَا: تَعَالَ يَسْتَغْفِرْ لَكَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ: لَأَنْ أَجِدَ ضَالَّتِي أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ أَنْ يَسْتَغْفِرَ لِي صَاحِبُكُمْ، وَإِذَا هُوَ يَنْشُدُ ضَالَّةً
Translation

✧ Whoever ascends the mountain pass, the pass of al-Murar, then there will be forgiven for him what was forgiven for the Children of Israel. Jabir said: "The first to ascend it were our horses, the Banu al-Khazraj, then the people followed." The Prophet ﷺ said: "All of you is forgiven except the owner of the red camel." We said: "Come, let the Messenger of Allah ﷺ seek forgiveness for you." He said: "If I find my stray camel, that is more beloved to me than that your companion seek forgiveness for me." And behold, he was looking for a stray camel.
