✧ 'Uthman said to Ibn 'Umar: "Go and be a judge." He replied: "Will you excuse me, O Commander of the Believers? For I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'Whoever is a judge and judges in ignorance will be among the people of the Fire. And whoever is a knowledgeable judge and judges with truth or justice, he will seek to slip away with nothing.' So what can I hope for after this?"
