حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ قَالَ: نَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ ابْنُ عَائِشَةَ قَالَ: نَا جُوَيْرِيَةُ بْنُ أَسْمَاءَ قَالَ: نَا الصَّعْقُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ، عَنِ الْفَرَزْدَقِ قَالَ:

قَالَ لِي أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ: أَرَاكَ صَغِيرَ الْقَدَمَيْنِ، فَإِنِ اسْتَطَعْتَ أَنْ يَكُونَ لَهُمَا غَدًا مَوْضِعٌ عِنْدَ الْحَوْضِ فَافْعَلْ. قُلْتُ: وَمَا ذَاكَ ؟ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ - يَعْنِي: النَّبِيَّ، ﷺ - إِنَّ لِي حَوْضًا تَرِدُ عَلَيْهِ أُمَّتِي، كَمَا بَيْنَ صَنْعَاءَ وَيَثْرِبَ

Translation

✧ Abu Hurayrah said to me: "I see you have small feet. If you can ensure they have a place tomorrow at the Hawd, then do so." I said: "And what is that?" He said: "I heard him say—meaning the Prophet ﷺ—'I have a Hawd to which my Ummah will come, as wide as the distance between San'a' and Yathrib.'"
