✧ A Bedouin from Banu Sa'd b. Bakr came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: Peace be upon you, O boy of Banu 'Abd al-Muttalib. The Prophet ﷺ said to him: And upon you be peace. He said: I am a man from your maternal uncles, from Banu Sa'd b. Bakr, and I am the messenger of my people to you and their delegate. I will ask you, so my questioning of you will be intense, and I will adjure you, so my adjuration of you will be intense. The Prophet ﷺ said to him: Ask, O brother of Banu Sa'd b. Bakr. He said: Who created you and created those before you and who is to be created after you? He said: Allah. He said: I adjure you by that, did He send you? He said: Yes. He said: Who created the seven heavens and the seven earths and causes provision to flow between them? He said: Allah. He said: I adjure you by that, did He send you? He said: Yes. He said: We have found in your Book and your messengers commanded us to pray night and day five prayers at their times, so I adjure you by that, did He command you? He said: Yes. He said: We have found in your Book and your messengers commanded us to fast the month of Ramadan, so I adjure you by that, did He command you? He said: Yes. He said: We have found in your Book and your messengers commanded us to take from the fringes of our wealth and give it to our poor, so I adjure you by that, did He command you? He said: Yes. Then he said: As for the fifth, I will not ask about it, and I have no desire for it, meaning lewd acts. Then he said: By the One who sent you with the truth, I will act upon these and whoever obeys me from my people. Then he turned back, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ laughed until his molars showed, then he said: If he is truthful, he will surely enter Paradise by them.
