حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ: نَا بَكَّارُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ السِّيرِينِيُّ، قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَوْنٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ دَخَلَ عَلَى بِلَالٍ، فَوَجَدَ عِنْدَهُ صُبَرًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ، فَقَالَ: " مَا هَذَا يَا بِلَالُ ؟ " فَقَالَ: تَمْرًا ادَّخَرْتُهُ لَكَ، فَقَالَ: وَيْحَكَ يَا بِلَالُ، أَمَا تَخَافُ أَنْ يَكُونَ لَهُ بُخَارٌ فِي النَّارِ ؟ أَنْفِقْ يَا بِلَالُ، وَلَا تَخْشَ مِنْ ذِي الْعَرْشِ إِقْلَالًا
Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered upon Bilal and found with him heaps of dates. He said: 'What is this, O Bilal?' Bilal replied: 'Dates I have stored for you.' He said: 'Woe to you, O Bilal! Do you not fear that they will have a vapor in the Fire? Spend, O Bilal, and do not fear scarcity from the Owner of the Throne.'
