حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ: نَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، قَالَ: نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي رَزِينٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَتْنِي أُمِّي قَالَتْ:
كَانَتْ أُمُّ الْحَرِيرِ إِذَا مَاتَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْعَرَبِ اشْتَدَّ عَلَيْهَا، فَقِيلَ لَهَا: يَا أُمَّ الْحَرِيرِ مَا لَكِ إِذَا مَاتَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْعَرَبِ اشْتَدَّ عَلَيْكِ ؟ فَقَالَتْ: سَمِعْتُ مَوْلَايَ يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: إِنَّ مِنِ اقْتِرَابِ السَّاعَةِ هَلَاكَ الْعَرَبِ.

✧ Umm al-Harir, when a man from the Arabs died, it became very hard on her. It was said to her, "O Umm al-Harir, what is the matter with you that when a man from the Arabs dies, it becomes very hard on you?" She said, "I heard my master say: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Indeed, part of the approach of the Hour is the destruction of the Arabs.'"
