حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ، قَالَ: نَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، قَالَ: نَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ، عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ حَكِيمٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ
أَنَّ مَاعِزًا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَأَقَرَّ بِالزِّنَا، فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: لَعَلَّكَ قَبَّلْتَ أَوْ غَمَزْتَ أَوْ لَمَسْتَ قَالَ: لَا. قَالَ: " فَفَعَلْتَ كَذَا وَكَذَا ؟ "، لَا يُكَنِّي، قَالَ: نَعَمْ. فَأَمَرَ بِهِ فَرُجِمَ

✧ Ma'iz came to the Prophet ﷺ and confessed to adultery. The Prophet ﷺ said to him: Perhaps you kissed, or fondled, or touched. He said: No. He said: Then did you do such-and-such?—not using a euphemism. He said: Yes. So he ordered that he be stoned.
