وَبِهِ عَنْ أَنَسٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ:
مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ إِلَّا وَلَهُ ثَلَاثَةُ أَخِلَّاءَ، فَأَمَّا خَلِيلٌ، فَيَقُولُ: مَا أَنْفَقْتَ فَلَكَ، وَمَا أَمْسَكْتَ فَلَيْسَ لَكَ، فَذَاكَ مَالُهُ، وَأَمَّا خَلِيلٌ، فَيَقُولُ: أَنَا مَعَكَ، فَإِذَا أَتَيْتَ بَابَ الْمَلِكِ تَرَكْتُكَ، فَذَاكَ أَهْلُهُ وَحَشَمُهُ، وَأَمَّا خَلِيلٌ، فَيَقُولُ: أَنَا مَعَكَ حَيْثُ دَخَلْتَ، وَحَيْثُ خَرَجْتَ، فَذَاكَ عَمَلُهُ، فَيَقُولُ: إِنْ كُنْتَ لَأَهْوَنَ الثَّلَاثَةِ عَلَيَّ
Translation

✧ There is no servant except that he has three friends. As for one friend, he says, 'What you spend is yours, and what you withhold is not yours.' That is his wealth. As for another friend, he says, 'I am with you, but when you come to the king's door, I will leave you.' That is his family and servants. As for another friend, he says, 'I am with you wherever you enter and wherever you leave.' That is his deeds, and he says, 'You were indeed the least of the three to me.'
