وَبِهِ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ لِعَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ: إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لَهَا:
لَوْلَا حِدْثَانُ قَوْمِكِ بِالْكُفْرِ لَنَقَضْتُ الْبَيْتَ، فَزِدْتُ فِيهِ مَا نَقَصَ مِنْهُ، وَلَوَضَعْتُهُ بِالْأَرْضِ، وَجَعَلْتُ لَهُ بَابَيْنِ: بَابٌ يُدْخَلُ مِنْهُ، وَبَابٌ يُخْرَجُ مِنْهُ حَتَّى لَا يَكُونَ زِحَامٌ

✧ Had it not been that your people were recent in disbelief, I would have demolished the House and added to it what was diminished from it, placed it on the ground, and made for it two doors: a door to enter from and a door to exit from, so that there would be no crowding.
