وَبِهِ: عَنْ خُصَيْفٍ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ وَعِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ:
لَمَّا دَخَلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ مَكَّةَ قَالَ أَهْلُ مَكَّةَ: إِنَّ بِأَصْحَابِ مُحَمَّدٍ جُوعًا وَهَزْلًا، " فَأَمَرَهُمُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَنْ يُهَرْوِلُوا لِيُرُوهُمْ أَنَّ بِهِمْ قُوَّةً " وَكَانُوا يُهَرْوِلُونَ ثَلَاثَةَ أَشْوَاطٍ، وَيَمْشُونَ أَرْبَعًا
Translation

✧ When the Prophet ﷺ entered Makkah, the people of Makkah said: "Muhammad's companions are afflicted with hunger and thinness." So the Prophet ﷺ ordered them to run during the first three circuits to show them that they had strength. They used to run three circuits and walk four.
