machine translationNarrated by al-Bazzār and al-Ṭabarānī in al-Awsaṭ. Al-Bazzār's shaykh, Abū Bakr, I do not know; it seems he is the copyist (warrāq) of Ibn Abī al-Dunyā, for he narrated from Muḥammad b. ʿAbd al-Malik b. Zanjawayh. And al-Ṭabarānī's shaykh, Ibrāhīm b. Muʿāwiyah b. Dhakwān b. Abī Sufyān al-Qayṣarānī, I did not find anyone who gave a biography of him. The rest of their men are men of the Ṣaḥīḥ, except Muḥammad b. ʿAbd al-Malik b. Zanjawayh, and he is trustworthy (thiqah).
