حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ رِشْدِينَ قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ الْمُنْعِمِ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ. عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ:

قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، لَا تَدْخُلَنَّ عَلَى أَمِيرٍ، فَإِنْ غُلِبْتَ عَلَى ذَلِكَ، فَلَا تُجَاوِزْ سُنَّتِي، وَلَا تَخَافَنَّ سَيْفَهُ، وَسَيْفُهُ أَنْ تَأْمُرَهُمْ بِتَقْوَى اللهِ وَطَاعَتِهِ

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said to me: O Abu Hurayrah, do not enter upon a ruler; but if you are overcome by that, then do not overstep my Sunnah, and do not fear his sword—his sword is that you enjoin upon them the fear of God and obedience to Him.
