حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ زُهَيْرٍ، قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ قَالَ: نَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي زِيَادُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، أَنَّ أَبَا نَهِيكٍ أَخْبَرَهُ

أَنَّ أَبَا الدَّرْدَاءِ خَطَبَ، فَقَالَ: مَنْ أَدْرَكَهُ الصُّبْحُ فَلَا وِتْرَ لَهُ. فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُدْرِكُهُ الصُّبْحُ فَيُوتِرُ

Translation

✧ Abu al-Darda' gave a sermon and said, 'Whoever is overtaken by dawn, there is no witr for him.' 'A'ishah said, 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would be overtaken by dawn and then perform witr.'
