حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ رِشْدِينَ قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ اللَّيْثِ قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ: نَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مُوسَى بْنُ عُلَيِّ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: قَالَ الْمُسْتَوْرِدُ الْفِهْرِيُّ:

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ - وَذَكَرَ قُرَيْشًا - فَقَالَ: إِنَّ فِيهِمْ لَخِصَالًا أَرْبَعَةً: إِنَّهُمْ أَصْلَحُ النَّاسِ عِنْدَ فِتْنَةٍ، وَأَسْرَعُهُمْ إِفَاقَةً بَعْدَ مُصِيبَةٍ، وَأَوْشَكُهُمْ كَرَّةً بَعْدَ فَرَّةٍ، وَخَيْرُهُمْ لِمِسْكِينٍ وَيَتِيمٍ، وَأَمْنَعُهُمْ مِنْ ظُلْمِ الْمُلُوكِ

✧ I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say—and he mentioned Quraysh—: “They have four qualities: they are the most upright of people in times of tribulation, the quickest to recover after calamity, the most likely to return after fleeing, the best to the poor and the orphan, and the most resistant to the oppression of kings.”
