حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ رُسْتَهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، قَالَ: نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ قَالَ: نَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ زُفَرَ بْنِ الْهُذَيْلِ، عَنْ أَبِي حَنِيفَةَ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ مَرْثَدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ

أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ مَرَّ بِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ حَزِينٌ، وَكَانَ الرَّجُلُ ذَا طَعَامٍ يُجْتَمَعُ إِلَيْهِ، وَدَخَلَ مَسْجِدَهُ يُصَلِّي، فَبَيْنَا هُوَ كَذَلِكَ إِذْ نَعَسَ، فَأَتَاهُ آتٍ فِي النَّوْمِ، فَقَالَ: عَلِمْتُ مَا حَزِنْتَ لَهُ، فَذَكَرَ قِصَّةَ الْأَذَانِ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: قَدْ

✧ A man from the Ansar passed by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was sad, and the man had food that people gathered around, and he entered his mosque to pray. While he was thus, he dozed off, and someone came to him in his sleep and said: 'I know why you are sad.' Then he mentioned the story of the adhan. The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Indeed.'
