حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْقَطِرَانِيُّ، قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ قَالَ: نَا سُكَيْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ الْعَطَّارُ قَالَ: ذَكَرَ أَبِي. عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ - لَا أَعْلَمُهُ إِلَّا رَفَعَهُ - قَالَ:

لَمْ يَلْقَ ابْنُ آدَمَ شَيْئًا مُنْذُ خَلَقَهُ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أَشَدَّ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ الْمَوْتِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: " إِنَّ الْمَوْتَ أَهْوَنُ مِمَّا بَعْدُ، وَإِنَّهُمْ لَيَلْقَوْنَ مِنْ هَوْلِ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ شِدَّةً حَتَّى يُلْجِمَهُمُ الْعَرَقُ، حَتَّى لَوْ أَنَّ السُّفُنَ أُجْرِيَتْ فِيهِ لَجَرَتْ

✧ The son of Adam has never encountered anything since Allah, Mighty and Majestic, created him more severe than death. Then he said: “Indeed death is easier than what comes after it. They will encounter such terror on that day that sweat will bridle them, until if ships were launched in it, they would sail.”
