حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى أَخُو أَبِي مُوسَى قَالَ: نَا عَمْرُو بْنُ شَقِيقِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ السَّدُوسِيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي. عَنْ جَدِّي
أَنَّهُ جَاءَ بِإِدَاوَةٍ مِنْ عِنْدِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَدْ غَسَلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فِيهَا وَجْهَهُ، وَمَضْمَضَ فِيهِ، وَبَزَقَ فِي الْمَاءِ، وَغَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ وَذِرَاعَيْهِ، ثُمَّ مَلَأَ الْإِدَاوَةَ، " وَقَالَ: لَا تَرِدَنَّ مَاءً إِلَّا مَلَأْتَ الْإِدَاوَةَ عَلَى مَا بَقِيَ فِيهَا، فَإِذَا أَتَيْتَ بِلَادَكَ فَرُشَّ بِهِ تِلْكَ الْبُقْعَةَ، وَاتَّخِذْهُ مَسْجِدًا " قَالَ: فَاتَّخَذُوهُ
Translation

✧ He came with a water-skin from the Prophet ﷺ, in which the Prophet ﷺ had washed his face, rinsed his mouth, spat into the water, and washed his hands and forearms. Then he filled the water-skin and said: 'Do not come to any water except that you fill the water-skin with what remains in it. When you reach your land, sprinkle that spot with it and take it as a mosque.' He said: So they took it.
