✧ I was with Ibn Abbas, and a man came to him and said: O Abu Abbas, what do you say about me? He replied: What could I possibly say about you? The man said: I am an official who works with a pen. He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: On the Day of Resurrection, the holder of the pen will be brought in a coffin of fire, locked with locks of fire. If he used it in obedience to Allah and seeking His pleasure, the coffin will be opened for him, but if he used it in disobedience to Allah, the coffin will plunge with him for seventy autumns, until the pen maker and the ink-pot maker.
