حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ طَاهِرٍ، قَالَ: نَا جَدِّي حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ: نَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ قَالَ: نَا حُمَيْدٌ الطَّوِيلُ وَكَانَ جَارًا لَنَا قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ:

أُمَّتِي أُمَّةٌ مَرْحُومَةٌ، مُتَابٌ عَلَيْهَا، تَدْخُلُ قُبُورَهَا بِذُنُوبِهَا، وَتَخْرُجُ مِنْ قُبُورِهَا لَا ذُنُوبَ عَلَيْهَا، تُمَحَّصُّ عَنْهَا ذُنُوبُهَا بِاسْتِغْفَارِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ لَهَا

✧ My Ummah is a community that is shown mercy, forgiven for them: they enter their graves with their sins, and come out of their graves with no sins upon them, their sins being expiated by the believers seeking forgiveness for them.
