حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ، قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُطِيعٍ الشَّيْبَانِيُّ قَالَ: نَا هُشَيْمٌ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ سَالِمٍ عَنْ عَمَّارٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ عَنْ زَاذَانَ

أَنَّ عَلِيًّا، حَدَّثَ حَدِيثًا، فَكَذَّبَهُ رَجُلٌ، فَقَالَ عَلِيٌّ: أَدْعُو عَلَيْكَ إِنْ قُلْتَ كَاذِبًا قَالَ: ادْعُ، " فَدَعَا عَلَيْهِ "، فَلَمْ يَبْرَحْ حَتَّى ذَهَبَ بَصَرُهُ

Translation

✧ Ali narrated a hadith, and a man called him a liar. Ali said: 'I will pray against you if you have spoken falsely.' He said: 'Pray.' So he prayed against him, and he did not move until his sight went away.
