حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ، قَالَ: نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَّامٍ قَالَ: نَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ وَمُحَمَّدٍ ابْنَا أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِمَا عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ الزُّرَقِيِّ. عَنْ أَبِي حُمَيْدٍ السَّاعِدِيِّ أَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا:

يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، كَيْفَ الصَّلَاةُ عَلَيْكَ ؟ قَالَ: قُولُوا: اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَأَزْوَاجِهِ وَذُرِّيَّتِهِ، كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَبَارِكْ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَأَزْوَاجِهِ وَذُرِّيَّتِهِ، كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ، إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ

✧ O Messenger of Allah, how should we invoke blessings upon you? He said: 'Say: O Allah, bless Muhammad and his wives and his progeny, as You blessed Ibrahim; and grant blessings upon Muhammad and his wives and his progeny, as You granted blessings upon Ibrahim. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious.'
