✧ A man from Abyssinia came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: O Messenger of Allah, you have been favored over us in colors and prophethood. What do you think if I believe in the like of what you believe in and act like what you act upon, will I be with you in Paradise? The Prophet ﷺ said: "Yes." Then the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever says: There is no god but Allah, he has by it a covenant with Allah, and whoever says: Glory be to Allah, Allah writes for him one hundred thousand good deeds." He said: O Messenger of Allah, how can we perish after this? The Prophet ﷺ said: "By the One in whose hand is my soul, a man on the Day of Resurrection will come with deeds which, if placed on a mountain, would weigh it down. Then a blessing from Allah's blessings will come and almost consume all of that, were it not for what Allah bestows of His mercy." Then it was revealed: "Has there come upon man a period of time..." up to His saying: "And when you look, you will see bliss and a great kingdom." The Abyssinian said: O Messenger of Allah, will my eye see in Paradise the like of what your eye sees? The Prophet ﷺ said: "Yes." The Abyssinian wept until his soul departed. Ibn Umar said: "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ lowering him into his grave."
