حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ، قَالَ: نَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْقَوَارِيرِيُّ قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ قَالَ: نَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ مُطَرِّفِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ. عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ:

قَدِمْتُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي رَهْطٍ مِنْ بَنِي عَامِرٍ، فَقُلْنَا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّا نَجِدُ ضَوَالًّا مِنَ الْإِبِلِ. فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: ضَالَّةُ الْمُسْلِمِ حَرَقُ النَّارِ

✧ I came to the Prophet ﷺ with a group from Banu 'Amir, and we said, "O Messenger of God, we find stray camels." The Messenger of God ﷺ said, "A Muslim's stray is a brand of the Fire."
