✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ delayed the latter night prayer until nearly a third of the night had passed. Then he went out to the mosque and found only a few people in it, so he became angry and said, "I was on the verge of commanding some men, when the prayer is called, to stay behind and go to the houses of those who do not attend the prayer and burn their houses down upon them." And he ﷺ said, "If a man were to invite the people to a meal, they would come to him, yet for the prayer, the call is made and they do not come to it."
