حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ، قَالَ: نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ تَسْنِيمٍ قَالَ: نَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ قَالَ: نَا أَبُو الْفَضْلِ كَثِيرُ بْنُ يَسَارٍ قَالَ: نَا ثَابِتُ الْبُنَانِيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أُتِيَ بِتَمْرٍ رَيَّانٍ، فَقَالَ: " أَنَّى لَكُمْ هَذَا ؟ فَقَالُوا: كَانَ عِنْدَنَا تَمْرُ بَعْلٍ، فَبِعْنَا صَاعَيْنِ بِصَاعٍ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: " رُدُّوهُ عَلَى صَاحِبِهِ، فَبِيعُوهُ بِعَيْنٍ، ثُمَّ ابْتَاعُوا التَّمْرَ

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ was brought fresh dates, and he said: 'Where did you get this?' They said: 'We had some inferior dates, so we sold two sa's for one sa.' The Messenger of God ﷺ said: 'Return it to its owner, sell it for money, then buy dates with that.'
