حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ، قَالَ: نَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي بَزَّةَ قَالَ: نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ بْنِ خُنَيْسٍ قَالَ: نَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ. عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ:

غَدَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ مِنْ مِنًى، فَلَمَّا انْبَعَثَتْ بِهِ رَاحِلَتُهُ، وَعَلَيْهَا قَطِيفَةٌ قَدِ اشْتُرِيَتْ بِأَرْبَعَةِ دَرَاهِمَ، قَالَ: اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهَا حَجَّةً مَبْرُورَةً، لَا رِيَاءَ فِيهَا، وَلَا سُمْعَةَ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ set out from Mina on the day of Arafah. When his mount set off with him, upon it was a velvet cloth bought for four dirhams, he said: "O Allah, make it an accepted Hajj, with no ostentation in it and no seeking of reputation."
