حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ، قَالَ: نَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ الْبَاهِلِيُّ قَالَ: نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَوَاءٍ عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبَانَ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنِ الْحَارِثِ الْأَعْوَرِ قَالَ:

دَخَلْتُ عَلَى عَلِيٍّ بَعْدَ الْعِشَاءِ فَقَالَ: مَا جَاءَ بِكَ هَذِهِ السَّاعَةَ ؟ قُلْتُ: إِنِّي أُحِبُّكَ. قَالَ: آللهِ إِنَّكَ تُحِبُّنِي ؟ قُلْتُ: نَعَمْ، وَاللهِ إِنِّي أُحِبُّكَ. فَقَالَ: أَلَا أُعَلِّمُكَ دُعَاءً عَلَّمَنِيهِ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ ؟ قُلْتُ: بَلَى. قَالَ: قُلِ: اللَّهُمَّ افْتَحْ مَسَامِعَ قَلْبِي لِذِكْرِكَ، وَارْزُقْنِي طَاعَتَكَ وَطَاعَةَ رَسُولِكَ، وَعَمَلًا بِكِتَابِكَ

Translation

✧ I entered upon Ali after Isha and he said: What brings you at this hour? I said: I love you. He said: By Allah, do you love me? I said: Yes, by Allah, I love you. He said: Shall I teach you a supplication the Prophet ﷺ taught me? I said: Yes. He said: Say: O Allah, open the ears of my heart to Your remembrance, grant me obedience to You and obedience to Your Messenger, and acting upon Your Book.
