حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ، قَالَ: نَا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ أَسَدٍ قَالَ: نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ الْكُوفِيُّ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ عَنْ أُمِّهِ وَعَنْ أُخْتِهِ. عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ:
أَتَى رَجُلٌ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ: إِنَّ أُخْتِي نَذَرَتْ أَنْ تَمْشِيَ إِلَى الْبَيْتِ فَقَالَ: مُرْ أُخْتَكَ أَنْ تَرْكَبَ، إِنَّ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ غَنِيٌّ عَنْ تَعْذِيبِ أُخْتِكَ نَفْسَهَا. فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ: عَلَى أُمِّي حَجٌّ، أَحُجُّ عَنْهَا ؟ قَالَ: " نَعَمْ

✧ A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: My sister vowed to walk to the House. He said: Tell your sister to ride, for Allah, Mighty and Majestic, has no need of your sister tormenting herself. The man said: My mother owes a Hajj; shall I perform it on her behalf? He said: Yes.
