Translation
✧ We performed Hajj with the Messenger of God ﷺ in the Farewell Pilgrimage. The Messenger of God ﷺ sent his wives to perform ʿumrah and left me, and I felt hurt. I said: “O Messenger of God, you sent your wives for ʿumrah and left me.” He said: “O ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, take your sister out to al-Tanʿīm, then let her circumambulate the House and go between al-Ṣafā and al-Marwah, then let her shorten her hair, then come to me before I depart.” That was on the night of al-Ḥaṣba. ʿĀʾishah said: “He only stayed the night of al-Ḥaṣba because of me.”

machine translationSomeone else claimed that this is a mistake on the part of ʿUrwah, and that the correct version is the narration of al-Aswad, al-Qāsim and ʿAmrah from her, that she entered the state of iḥrām for Ḥajj alone (ifrād).

machine translationSince these three, meaning al-Qāsim, al-Aswad and ʿAmrah, agreed that ʿĀʾishah was in a state of iḥrām for Ḥajj and not for ʿUmrah, we know from this that the report narrated from ʿUrwah is mistaken (ghalaṭ).
