✧ Iyad b. Ghanm al-Fihri

✧ On the authority of ʿIyāḍ ibn Ghanm, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: “Whoever drinks wine, his prayer will not be accepted for forty days; if he dies, then [his end is] the Fire. But if he repents, Allah will accept it from him. If he drinks it a second time, then likewise.” He said: “The third and the fourth time [as well]—it is incumbent upon Allah to make him drink from the ‘mud of al-khabāl.’” It was said, “O Messenger of Allah, what is the mud of al-khabāl?” He said: “The pus/extract of the people of the Fire.”
