Jami' al-Saghir / Jam' al-Jawami' (al-Suyuti) 21875a
Translation
✧ “Whoever drinks wine in the morning is like one who associates partners with Allah until evening; and likewise, if he drinks it at night, he is like one who associates partners with Allah until morning. Whoever drinks it until he becomes intoxicated, no prayer will be accepted from him for forty mornings. And whoever dies while there is still something of it in his veins dies a death of the pre-Islamic Age of Ignorance.”
