عن ابن عمرو
"مَنْ شَرِبَ الخَمْرَ مَرَةً لَمْ تُقْبَلْ تَوْبَتُهُ أَرْبعِينَ صَبَاحًا، فَإِنْ تَابَ تَابَ اللهُ عَلَيهِ، فَإِنْ عَادَ لَمْ تُقْبَلْ تَوْبَتُهُ أَرْبَعِينَ صَبَاحًا، فَإِنْ تَابَ تَابَ اللهُ عَلَيهِ، فَإِنْ عَادَ كَانَ حَقًّا عَلَى اللهِ أَنْ يَسْقِيَهُ مِنْ رَدْغَة الخَبَالِ يَوْمَ القِيَامَةِ".
Translation
✧ “Whoever drinks wine once, his repentance will not be accepted for forty mornings; but if he repents, God will accept his repentance. If he returns to it, his repentance will not be accepted for forty mornings; but if he repents, God will accept his repentance. If he returns again, it will be incumbent upon God to make him drink from the filth of al-khabāl on the Day of Resurrection.”
