عن أَسماء بنت يزيد
"مَنْ شَرِبَ الخَمْرَ لَمْ يَرْضَ الله عَنْهُ أَرْبَعينَ يَوْمًا، فَإِنْ مَاتَ مَاتَ كَافرًا، وَإِن تَابَ تَابَ الله عَلَيهِ، وَإِنْ عَادَ كَانَ حَقًّا عَلَى الله -تَعَالى- أَنْ يَسْقِيَهُ مِنْ طِينَةِ الخَبَالِ: صَدِيد أَهْلِ النَّارِ".
Translation
Chain of narrators
- Asmāʾ b. Yazīd
✧ “Whoever drinks wine, God will not be pleased with him for forty days. If he dies, he dies as an unbeliever; if he repents, God will accept his repentance. But if he returns to it, then it is incumbent upon God—Exalted is He—to give him to drink from the ‘mud of khabāl’: the pus of the people of the Fire.”
