حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَنْصُورٍ الظَّفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ زِيَادٍ الْعَلَوِيُّ, رَحِمَهُ اللهُ إِمْلَاءً, أَنَا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ دُحَيْمٍ الشَّيْبَانِيُّ بِالْكُوفَةِ, وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ جَنَاحُ بْنُ نَذِيرِ بْنِ جَنَاحٍ الْقَاضِي بِالْكُوفَةِ, قَالَ: أَنَا أَبُو جَعْفَرِ بْنُ دُحَيْمٍ, قَالَ: نَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ, قَالَ: أَنَا قَبِيصَةُ, قَالَ: نَا سُفْيَانُ, عَنْ أَبِيهِ, عَنْ أَبِي يَعْلَى, عَنِ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ خُثَيْمٍ, عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ
قَالَ: خَطَّ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ خَطًّا, ثُمَّ وَضَعَ لَنَا شَيْئًا فِي وَسَطِهَا, فَقَالَ: " هَذَا الْإِنْسَانُ, وَهَذَا أَجَّلُهُ " ثُمَّ أَسْرَعَ إِلَيْهِ مِنَ الْخَطِّ أَشْيَاءَ مُشْرَعَةً إِلَيْهِ فَوْقَهُ ثُمَّ, قَالَ " هَذِهِ الْأَعْرَاضُ, إِنْ أَخْطَأَتْهُ هَذِهِ أَصَابَتْهُ هَذِهِ " ثُمَّ وَضَعَ شَيْئًا أَمَامَ ذَلِكَ وَقَالَ: " أَمَلُهُ " ثُمَّ, قَالَ: " حَالَ الْأَجَلُ دُونَ الْأَمَلِ "

Ḥāzim narrated to us, he said: Qabīṣah informed us, he said: Sufyān narrated to us, from his father, from Abū Yaʿlā, from al-Rabīʿ b. Khuthaym, from ʿAbdullāh b. Masʿūd.
