وَبِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ, عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ
قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: " إِنَّ اللهَ لَيُجَرِّبُ أَحَدَكُمْ بِالْبَلَاءِ, وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ كَمَا يُجَرِّبُ أَحَدُكُمْ ذَهَبَهُ بِالنَّارِ, فَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَخْرُجُ كَالذَّهَبِ الْإِبْرِيزِ فَذَلِكَ الَّذِي نَجَّاهُ اللهُ مِنَ السَّيِّئَاتِ, وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَخْرُجُ كَالذَّهَبِ دُونَ ذَلِكَ فَذَلِكَ الَّذِي يَشُكُّ بَعْضَ الشَّكِّ, وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَخْرُجُ كَالذَّهَبِ الْأَسْوَدِ فَذَلِكَ الَّذِي قَدِ افْتُتِنَ "

He said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Indeed Allah tests one of you with affliction, though He knows best, just as one of you tests his gold with fire. Some of them come out like pure gold, and those are the ones whom Allah has saved from evil deeds. Some of them come out like gold of lesser quality, and those are the ones who doubt to some degree. And some of them come out like black gold, and those are the ones who have been tried and led astray."
