أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو سَعْدٍ الْمَالِينِيُّ، أنا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ بْنُ عَدِيٍّ، نا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الصَّبَّاحِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ، أنا عَاصِمُ بْنُ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ جَارِيَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، بِقُبَاءَ، قَالَ: نا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ،
قَالَ: أَتَى أُسَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُضَيْرِ النَّقِيبُ الْأَشْهَلِيُّ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ يُكَلِّمُهُ فِي أَهْلِ بَيْتٍ مِنْ بَنِي ظُفُرٍ عِمَامَتُهُمْ نِسَاءٌ، فَقَسَمَ لَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ شَيْءٍ قَسَمَهُ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: " تَرَكْتَنَا يَا أُسَيْدُ حَتَّى ذَهَبَ مَا فِي أَيْدِينَا، فَإِذَا سَمِعْتَ بِطَعَامٍ قَدْ أَتَانِي فَأْتِنِي فَاذْكُرْ لِي أَهْلَ ذَلِكَ الْبَيْتِ، أَوِ اذَكُرْ لِي ذَاكَ، فَمَكَثَ مَا شَاءَ اللهُ، ثُمَّ أَتَى رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ طَعَامٌ مِنْ خَيْبَرَ، وَشَعِيرٌ، وَتَمْرٌ، قَسَمَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فِي النَّاسِ، ثُمَّ قَسَمَ فِي الْأَنْصَارِ فَأَجْزَلَ قَالَ: ثُمَّ قَسَمَ فِي أَهْلِ ذَلِكَ الْبَيْتِ فَأَجْزَلَ، فَقَالَ لَهُ أُسَيْدٌ شَاكِرًا لَهُ: جَزَاكَ اللهُ أَيْ رَسُولَ اللهِ أَطْيَبَ الْجَزَاءِ أَوْ أَخْيَرَ - شَكَّ عَاصِمٌ - قَالَ: فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: " وَأَنْتُمْ مَعْشَرَ الْأَنْصَارِ فَجَزَاكُمُ اللهُ خَيْرًا، أَجْزَلَ وَأَطْيَبَ الْجَزَاءِ، فَكُلُّكُمْ مَا عَلِمْتُ أَعِفَّةٌ صُبُرٌ، وَسَتَرَوْنَ بَعْدِي أَثَرَةً فِي الْقَسْمِ وَالْأَمْرِ، فَاصْبِرُوا حَتَّى تَلْقَوْنِي عَلَى الْحَوْضِ "

He said: Usayd b. al-Ḥuḍayr, the chief (naqīb) of the Ashhal, came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to speak to him about a household of Banū Ẓafar whose support was women. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ allotted them something from what he was dividing among the people. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "You left us, O Usayd, until what was in our hands was gone.
