Notes
machine translationAbū Qatādah al-Ḥarrānī also narrated it, from al-Thawrī, from Yaḥyā b. Saʿīd, and he said: from ʿAmrah, from ʿĀʾishah. Al-Ḥalīmī, may God have mercy on him, said: "Among the ways of drawing close and joining together is feeding food, and we have mentioned hadiths on that earlier in the book. I say: it is possible that what is meant by it is feeding the needy, and it is possible that what is meant is hospitality, and it is possible that both are intended. Hospitality has a great effect on mutual love and harmony, and sound reports have come regarding honoring the guest, and al-Ḥalīmī, may God have mercy on him, devoted a chapter to it."
