أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ بِشْرَانَ، قَالَ: أنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّفَّارُ، قَالَ: نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الصَّغَانِيُّ، قَالَ: نا يَعْلَى بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، قَالَ: نا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ،
قَالَ: قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ هُوَ ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ: " إِنَّ السَّلَامَ هُوَ اسْمٌ مِنْ أَسْمَاءِ اللهِ تَعَالَى وَضَعَهُ اللهُ فِي الْأَرْضِ، فَأَفْشُوهُ بَيْنَكُمْ، فَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ إِذَا مَرَّ عَلَى الْقَوْمِ فَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْهِمْ فَرَدُّوا عَلَيْهِ كَانَ لَهُ عَلَيْهِمْ فَضْلُ دَرَجَةٍ بِأَنَّهُ أَذْكَرَهُمْ، وَإِنْ لَمْ يَرُدُّوا عَلَيْهِ رَدَّ عَلَيْهِ مَنْ هُوَ خَيْرٌ مِنْهُمْ وَأَطْيَبُ " هَكَذَا جَاءَ مَوْقُوفًا، وَقَدْ رُوِيَ مَرْفُوعًا مِنْ وَجْهٍ ضَعِيفٍ
