أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُقْرِئُ، قَالَ: أنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَ: نا يُوسُفُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، قَالَ: نا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ، قَالَ: نا خَالِدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، قَالَ: نا عَوْفٌ الْأَعْرَابِيُّ، قَالَ: نا زُرَارَةُ بْنُ أَوْفَى فِي مَسْجِدِ الْبَصْرَةِ،
قَالَ: قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَلَامٍ: لَمَّا قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْمَدِينَةَ أنْجَفَلَ النَّاسُ قِبَلَهُ، فَقَالُوا: قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ، فَجِئْتُ فِي النَّاسِ أَنْظُرُ، فَلَمَّا تَبَيَّنْتُ وَجْهَهُ عَرَفْتُ أَنَّ وَجْهَهُ لَيْسَ بِوَجْهِ كَذَّابٍ، فَتَكَلَّمَ فَكَانَ أَوَّلَ شَيْءٍ سَمِعْتُهُ تَكَلَّمَ بِهِ أَنْ قَالَ: " يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ، أَفْشُوا السَّلَامَ، وَصِلُوا الْأَرْحَامَ، وَأَطْعِمُوا الطَّعَامَ، وَصَلَّوا بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّاسُ نِيَامٌ، تَدْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ بِسَلَامٍ "
